Welcome to our courses & classes page, where we have information on all the available classes at La Vaqueria. For further information on what we have planned please visit our What's on page for details on forthcoming events.
Every Wednesday and Thursday from 11am - 1pm a group of artistic people meet up to have a go, brush up on their skills or simply join in the fun. This group is informal and aimed at encouraging people who have not drawn or painted for a long time or people who would like to have a go at something new.
For crafters we have card making, paper crafts, glass painting, mosaics, clay, collage, jewelery making and decorative painting as well as trying out new crafts. The flexibility of this group allows people to offer their ideas, suggestions and advice too.
You could bring along an unfinished project, try something new, get help with crafting problems or simply enjoy the friendship and enthusiasm of others to inspire future projects.
This class is a great way to meet new friends as well as discover your artistic inner self!
Costs 10 euros refreshments included.
All ages welcome.
For those of you who prefer art to crafts why not come and learn to draw, sketch and paint every Wednesday.
Whether its watercolours or oils, acrylics, inks, pencil, charcoal or pastels, we encourage beginers to have a go and the more advanced to enjoy painting in good company. It is sometimes hard to find the time to sit down and paint so joining a group is a great way to have that little bit of time put aside each week!.
We also have bespoke courses and workshops by visiting artists artists on offer.
We hold a Mosaic Workshop here every 1st Saturday each month. The classes are suitable for all levels and vary from freestyle mosaic, using recycled tiles and more formal roman style mosaic.
If you are planning to do a mosaic at home this is the ideal way for you to learn the basic techniques and discuss how to get started and the tools and materials that you will need.
We also stock coloured tiles which you may buy individually for your home projects.
Details of all forthcoming events, classes and workshops can be found on our "What's On" page.
Booking for this is essential as it involves a lot of preparation work!
