Whatever their surroundings, be it on the beach, in the countryside or in the city an affinity with art will enable them to experience what they see on a deeper level. In this digital age when speed is of the essence, every minute counts, it is especially important to create a balance for our increasingly rushed youngsters!
In our Kids Art Group I aim to do just that and covering a wide range of arts and crafts for everyone to have a go at we also get to discuss the art in our day to day lives.
Everyone can see the flowers on the hillside and with guidance youngsters very quickly are able to spot patterns in the overhead power cables, in brickwork, in broken glass.... art is limitless and my classes are designed to help direct children to find it for themselves.
The classes also cover more traditional methods of art and crafting such as decoupagé, collage, glass painting, pressed flowers and much, much more.
We paint using as wide a range of mediums as possible and I also encourage my students to choose their own methods and materials.
