DECOUPAGÉ

A lovely therapeutic medium – what a wonderfully simple way to create something different.

By using a variety of different papers I have found it to be very versatile and use it to almost anything from picture and mirror frames, to old boxes, papier maché or furniture.

SOMETHING PAINTED

Almost anything can be painted as long as it is prepared properly so using a selection of household, metallic and acrylic paints I create lovely and inexpensive gifts.

From horse shoes to paella pans, coffee pots to old tools and furniture, you can find something just right to liven up a dull corner!

I have a mixed selection of pictures for sale, mostly bright coloured, predominantly acrylic but with a more recent tendancy towards mixed medium and collage.

As a young girl I was taught to draw what I could see with particular attention to detail. At just 17 Winchester college of Art gave me a place on their foundation course for the following year (students under 18 not admitted) but after working for a year the thought of returning to “school” was not very appealing!

I earned my living as an itinerant pavement artist instead! Having spent some years copying Rembrandt, Reynolds and Murillo (to name but a few) I´d say my training was in fine art!

Now, as I return to my artistic roots it seems to be the colours and the mediums which excite me. Nothing that I have put up for sale is expensive – they are experiments, pretty experiments!

HAND MADE CARDS

And of course no gift shop would be complete without a good selection of greetings cards.

Ours are all hand made and can be personalised or we can make to order. Bulk orders (ie Christmas and invitations etc.) can be designed and made at your request.
